Utility

Every preview is one bar dry → two bars engaged → release and tail, rendered through the production engine with the preset’s canonical FX Library settings.

Hype Button

The duck layer of the hype gesture: while a hype sample fires, it drops the program to −96 dB (effectively silence), clearing space for the stab on top. This build ships with no hype samples loaded, so the duck never triggers and audio passes through unchanged. Listen for: This preview is intentionally unchanged from the dry loop: the duck engages only while a hype sample plays, and no hype samples ship in this build. Settings: Division 1/4 · Quantize Off · Wet 100%

Motor Kill

A real deck brake: cutting the power pitch-dives the master to silence over a fixed 200 ms constant-torque vinyl curve, like killing a turntable motor mid-groove. Release brings the program back through the normal envelope. Listen for: After the dry bar, the loop pitch-drops hard into silence in about 200 ms (a power-cut, not a fade), stays dead while held, then jumps back to speed on release. Settings: Division 1/16 · Quantize Off · Wet 100%

Talkover Duck

Ducks the program to roughly 40% volume (about −8 dB) with a 10 ms attack and 50 ms release (an audible drop, not a mute) so the groove stays present underneath a voice. Built for mic breaks and shout-outs over a running set. Listen for: After the dry bar, the whole loop steps down to about 40% volume but keeps grooving audibly underneath, then rises back to full level in the final bar. Settings: Division 1/4 · Quantize Off · Wet 100%

Soft Duck

A gentler volume duck that pulls the program down −12 dB with a slower 20 ms attack and 100 ms release. Subtle enough to tuck the mix behind another element without the drop calling attention to itself. Listen for: After the dry bar, the loop settles smoothly into the background, quieter but fully intact, then breathes back up to full volume over the final bar. Settings: Division 1/4 · Quantize Off · Wet 100%
