Splice integration

Meiji Sampler connects to Splice through Splice’s MCP server. Sign in with your Splice account before searching.

Search and preview

Open the Splice browser from source selection, sign in, then type a natural-language search such as dark lo-fi guitar loop around 80 BPM. Use Space to preview the selected result. Most Splice MCP clients return links for preview audio. Meiji Sampler plays those links through its preview engine when the server includes them.

License and load

Press Enter on a result to request the full-quality licensed download through Splice MCP. Downloads require a Splice Sounds+, Creator, or Creator+ subscription. New downloads use Splice credits. Re-downloads of the same sample are free according to Splice policy. Licensed files are stored by Splice sample id in ~/Music/Meiji Sampler/splice/ on macOS and Windows, or ~/Meiji Sampler/splice/ on Linux when no audio directory is available. The same sound can be loaded again without requesting a new paid download.
