Splice and network problems

Splice search asks you to sign in

Splice search requires Splice MCP authentication. Open the Splice browser and choose sign in. The browser opens Splice’s OAuth page, then returns to Meiji Sampler after authorization.

Sign-in fails

Check:
  • the browser completed the Splice sign-in page
  • the callback page says sign-in is complete
  • the system keychain is available
  • the network can reach https://mcp.splice.com
Try signing out from the Splice account row in Settings, then sign in again.

Search works but downloads fail

Downloads require a Splice Sounds+, Creator, or Creator+ subscription. Search and Stacks can work on a free Splice account, but full-quality licensed downloads need a paid Sounds plan.

Download limit reached

Splice limits MCP downloads to 100 downloads per rolling 24 hours. Wait until the window clears, then retry. Re-downloading a sample you already licensed should not use another credit.

Preview does not play

Some MCP results may return links that need to open in a browser rather than inline playback. If Meiji Sampler cannot play the returned preview link, open the sample in Splice and try another result.

Splice service outage

Check Splice status if sign-in, search, and downloads all fail while your connection is otherwise working.
