Troubleshooting

When Meiji Sampler feels wrong, start with the symptom that matches what you see or hear. Most issues fall into one of a few buckets: audio setup, recording state, file paths, MIDI routing, or terminal and system behavior.

Before you go deep

Do these quick checks first:
  • confirm the relevant row, tab, or editor is actually focused
  • confirm a modal or editor is not open and changing how shortcuts behave
  • confirm the terminal, audio device, and project path are the ones you think they are
