# Workflow Overview

> Understand the creation process that powers Meiji Sampler's core music-making flow.

# Workflow overview

The core Meiji Sampler workflow lives inside the `Create` tab.

Remember, the main beatmaking flow is:

`Browse -> Assign -> Loop -> Scene -> Mix`

## Why this matters

This sequence mirrors how the product actually works:

1. find sounds
2. load them onto playable pads
3. record those pads into loops
4. combine loops into scenes
5. shape the result in the mixer

## The 10-10-10 model

Meiji Sampler is built around three sets of ten:

| Layer | Count | Purpose |
| ------ | ----- | ------------------------------ |
| Pads | 10 | playable sound triggers |
| Loops | 10 | recorded patterns |
| Scenes | 10 | arranged combinations of loops |

## Recommended learning order

Read the rest of `Learn` in this order:

2. Browse
3. Assign
4. Loop
5. Scene
6. Mix

## Next step

Go to [Terminology](/learn/terminology).
