# Vintage

> Audible previews for the Vintage PerformFX presets, rendered through the real engine.

# VintageEvery preview is one bar dry → two bars engaged → release and tail, rendered through the production engine with the preset's canonical FX Library settings.### SP1200Runs the full E-mu SP-1200 chain (11.07 kHz anti-alias filter, tape saturation, 12-bit quantization, and the 26.04 kHz DAC/sample-and-hold stage) using the unfiltered 7 & 8 output style with 45RPM character enabled. The result is the gritty, crunchy imaging band that defined golden-era drum machines.**Listen for:** After the dry bar, the loop takes on grainy 12-bit crunch and a hazy top end from the sample-and-hold imaging, then snaps back to clean over the final bar.**Settings:** Division `1 Bar` · Quantize `Off` · Wet `100%`

### S950 LPFA 6th-order Butterworth low-pass modeled on the Akai S950's MF6-50 switched-capacitor filter, closing to an 848 Hz cutoff at resonance Q 1.0 with a steep 36 dB/octave rolloff. Cutoff changes are smoothed in the log-frequency domain, so the sweep is zipper-free.**Listen for:** After the dry bar, the highs fall away sharply and the loop turns dark and muffled around 848 Hz, then the full brightness returns as the filter releases in the final bar.**Settings:** Division `1 Bar` · Quantize `Off` · Wet `100%`

### S950 HPFThe same S950-style 6th-order Butterworth engine as the low-pass, flipped into a high-pass at 501 Hz with resonance Q 1.0 and a 36 dB/octave slope. It thins the low end cleanly, leaving the mids and highs untouched.**Listen for:** After the dry bar, the kick and bass drop out below 501 Hz leaving a thin, airy top loop, then the low end lands back in over the final bar.**Settings:** Division `1 Bar` · Quantize `Off` · Wet `100%`

### ASR10 BoostA port of the Ensoniq ASR-10's hardware Boost button at its Lo intensity level: three serial stages of gain, saturation, and brick-wall limiting, with a −6 dB PreGain default to keep the boosted path controlled. Adds the crunchy, glued, larger-than-life character the ASR-10 is hunted down for.**Listen for:** After the dry bar, the loop gets louder, denser, and subtly saturated (glued together rather than distorted) before relaxing back to the untreated level in the final bar.**Settings:** Division `1 Bar` · Quantize `Off` · Wet `100%`
